The main objectives of implementation of the key projects of JSC «IDGC of Centre and Volga region» are:
- fulfillment of Agreements for cooperation of the Governments of Nizhny Novgorod and Ryazan regions and JSC RAO «UES of Russia» referred to development of power networks of the regions and ensuring of reliable power supply of the consumers;
- duly replacement of obsolete and deteriorated equipment, reducing the attributes of power supply security;
- replacement of equipment with attributes that do not comply with the network requirements regarding dynamic stability and thermal capability, security, etc.;
- increase of network damage tolerance (power supply security) and controllability;
- improvement of the system for accounting of quantity and quality of received and supplied electric power;
- susceptibility (adaptation) to increasing electric loads, use of new means of automation, new technologies of attendance;
- electric and ecological safety.
- replacement of deteriorated systems (devices) of relaying and automation;
- network reactive power control.
