JSC «IDGC of Centre and Volga
region» has connected over 5,7 thousand consumers to the grid for the first
half year 2010. The total power of the process connection contracts executed
for the reporting period was 130 MW.
The power supplier has received 14,5 thousand applications
for connection to the grid to the total power 395 MW for six months of this year.
The power engineering specialists have observed a significant growth of the
number of applications forwarded by the small and medium-sized business representatives
(up to 80% as compared to the same period of the last year) for the past period,
that is related to Resolution of the Government of the RF (¹334) accepted in 2009.
The Resolution determines concessional terms of process connection for such the
categories of the consumers. The state support provided additional
opportunities for the development of private residential construction and small
enterprises within the period of the Russian economy restoration. One may specify
the following major consumers connected for the past six months: in Kaluga
region – the manufacturer of dry building compounds and mixtures LLC "Kiilto-Kaluga",
in Kirov region – CJSC «Mayak-Invest», in Tula region – a metal structures
manufacturer LLC «IEK Metall-plast», safe cabinets and metal furniture plant
LLC «TPO Promet», JSC «Shekinskaya urban grid». The power supplier connected 1306
small and medium-sized business agents to the total power 86,7 MW by results of
six months 2010.

provide free and prompt connection to the grid under the conditions of the
Russian economy formation – deputy chief executive officer on technical affairs
– chief engineer of JSC «IDGC of Centre and Volga region» Sergey Andrus remarks.
– Now over 90 thousand small and medium-sized enterprises carry on business in
the territory of the power supplier’s attendance, more than 3 thousand such the
enterprises cooperate directly with JSC «IDGC of centre and Volga
region». These are about 350 contractors and more than 500 equipment and
material suppliers».
25 Service centers (SC) have been opened in JSC
«IDGC of Centre and Volga region» for the
clients benefit. The activities performed by SC let accelerate significantly the
process connection procedure and reduce time spent by the client for
consultation, application forwarding, and documents preparation. Now several Service
centers give an opportunity to make contracts for different additional services
at will of the applicant: maintenance of electric engineering devices of the
clients, customer’s equipment and cable testing, transformer oil laboratory
analyses, street lighting maintenance. Above all, at the customer's request, a Service
center in Nizhny Novgorod may carry out a set
of measures required for process connection of the applicant, such as the
choice of the contractors to perform the power supply project, documents
preparation, work progress control.

applied to the company may get duly the required power and all the required
conditions for business expansion, so we work hard to increase the grid
capacity, to create power reserve in the regions, to enhance reliability and security
of the existing power supply system», - Sergey Andrus emphasizes.
Now the power engineering specialists also continue
to carry out measures dedicated to simplification of the process connection
procedure keeping constructive dialogue with businessmen.
